Microglas® TSG Glass Flake is a silica glass containing a titanium dioxide micro-dispersion.
It has been developed specifically for UV protection in the cosmetic industry

TSG flake has an average thickness of 0.5 micron and an average particle size of 10 microns. It is manufactured in two grades TSG9 and TSG30 containing 9% and 30% titanium dioxide respectively.

This product can also be manufactured without Titanium Dioxide and is used for other applications requiring such small Glass Flakes.

TSG Glass Flake has the following advantages: -

• Effective UV shielding
• High transmission of visible light
• Smooth texture because of fineness and smooth flake surface
• Lower catalytic activity than titanium dioxide
• Excellent chemical stability
